Powdery Mildew on My Roses

It was early May. My roses were starting to wake up and start unfurling. I was excited to see the aphid clusters relocate, but that infestation was soon replaced with powdery mildew.

Powdery Mildew on My Rose

Washing off the leaves with a sharp stream of water didn’t seem to have any effect.

Neem Oil to the rescue!

I cut off the leaves that were most affected and sprayed the whole bush with 1 Tbl neem oil mixed in about 32 oz. of water in a large spray bottle. Here’s what they looked like about a week later. Almost all gone! Go neem.

Powdery mildew almost all gone. I will use BT to get at whatever made those holes.
The buds still have a bit of mildew
And neem oil is safe for your fur babies and regular babies.
